THE POLICY
This privacy policy is for my websites; www.southwalespropertyphotography.com and www.garethbluntphotography.com both served by Gareth Blunt Photography and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use it. It explains how I comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), the DPA (Data Protection Act) [pre GDPR enforcement] and the PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

This policy will explain areas of these websites that may affect your privacy and personal details, how I process, collect, manage and store those details and how your rights under the GDPR, DPA & PECR are adhered to. Additionally, it will explain the use of cookies or software, advertising or commercial sponsorship from third parties and the download of any documents, files or software made available to you (if any) on these websites. Further explanations may be provided for specific pages or features of these websites in order to help you understand how I, these websites and its third parties (if any) interact with you and your computer / device in order to serve it to you. My websites comply with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and already comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which comes into effect from May 2018.

USE OF COOKIES
My websites use cookies to better the user’s experience while visiting the websites. SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY & USAGE
I adopt a Social Media Policy to ensure our business conducts itself accordingly online. While I may have official profiles on social media platforms, users are advised to verify authenticity of such profiles before engaging with, or sharing information with such profiles. I will never ask for user passwords or personal details on social media platforms. Users are advised to conduct themselves appropriately when engaging with us on social media.
There may be instances where my websites feature social sharing buttons, which help share web content directly from web pages to the respective social media platforms. You use social sharing buttons at your own discretion and accept that doing so may publish content to your social media profile feed or page.

PERSONAL DETAILS & INFORMATION
In order to operate my business, I need to hold personal information on individuals and businesses. This may include, but not be exclusive to, names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and confidential client information. All personal information is stored in a password protected desktop PC in my locked home office. Some personal details are also mirrored to my Google Calendar which is only accessible via my password-protected desktop PC and my mobile phone which is also secured by fingerprint access only.

With regards to my photography, the nature of our business means I will hold images of residential and commercial properties, which can include identifiable individuals and brands. All images are securely stored on my password-protected desktop PC in my locked home office. A selection of images will be publicly-visible on my websites for the purpose of promoting my photography services. I will always request permission from the client or property owner prior to uploading these images to our websites. Should you want an image of your property or identity removed, please contact me via the contact page at the top of this website.

I will never use existing personal or confidential client data for any purpose other than that which is related to the existing business relationship. In order to develop my business and grow my client base, I may contact a new individual or a company in order to enquire as to their requirements for our photography services. This will always be actioned via a personally-drafted and personally-addressed email or letter. I never have and never will add your details to a mailing list or cold-call.
